Officially Crowned :: Nashville Loves @MelanieFiona’s “MF Life”
BET’s Music Matters Tour was presented to a capacity crowd at the Limelight Entertainment Complex courtesy of Lovenoise, 92Q and Flava. On a Wednesday night, from the windows to the walls, hundreds poured out in the middle of the week to see Anthony David, Melanie Fiona and Marsha Ambrosius leave it all on the stage.
Events like this magnify the Music City’s dedication to support quality acts for a reasonable ticket price, and more often than not, it is performances of this caliber that are synonymous with The LoveNoise Group.
The Queen’s Castle had an opportunity to ask a few questions and capture Melanie Fiona’s in-studio interview at 92Q. In the clip, she discusses what fans can expect on her upcoming album, The MF Life, how she happened to collaborate with Cee-Lo and Phillip Bailey on Fool For You, some of the artists she’s currently listening to, and her sense of style. The in-studio interview was great, she was very candid, allowing guests to ask questions until time forced the ending.
Later that night at the Limelight, Fiona’s stage show was energetic, animated, quality, and full of awesomeness. She performed crowd favorites from her debut album, The Bridge, including Bang Bang, Give It To Me Right, and It Kills Me. She also shared Rock, Paper, Scissors, which will appear on her soon to be released album, The MF Life, and closed with a cover of Alanis Morissette’s Ironic (which was simply put, super-dope-fly). The Queen’s Castle is looking forward to her new album and continuing to support her music for years to come.

On tour with her third studio album, Let Freedom Reign, Michele has grown as an artist with ease, even her LP covers have evolved, as she initially looked away and toward the sky, but now faces the world head on with hands on hips. That evolution has fostered a transformation in her physical appearance as well, donning a natural close cut that almost forces you to focus on her eyes, the windows to the soul. With every note at every octave, she shared her soul with us that night, pure artistry.
Limelight Entertainment Complex is the place to be on Friday, February 18, 2011. Doors open at 8 PM, show will begin at 9 PM and tickets are on sale at local retail outlets in Nashville (see the flier above for details) or you can purchase $35 general admission tickets,
One fan brought the actual magazine for El’s signature. The room was primarily filled with people who love his music, interestingly enough they represent multiple generations; young and old, male and female. There was a lot of chatter until his voice came through the speakers, an immediate hush; he spoke briefly to Kenny in a different room before joining guests. El was greeted with camera flashes, giggles among girlfriends, and excitement when he walked in the room.
